PreviewsDESERT CROWN cemented his position at the head of the ante-post market when striding clear with purpose to land the Dante at York, a route his trainer has used with subsequent Derby winners in the past, and the son of Nathaniel has reportedly improved since that outing. Both his races to date suggest he is an uncomplicated individual and, despite lacking experience, Sir Michael Stoute's colt ticks plenty of boxes. Stone Age didn't win as a juvenile, but he produced some solid efforts in defeat, most notably when runner-up in the Criterium de Saint-Cloud, and has clearly stepped forward this year with a strong display at Leopardstown last month making him Aidan O'Brien's number one contender. Nations Pride advertised his claims when impressing in the Newmarket Stakes in April, the manner of that performance suggesting the extra couple of furlongs would prove to be no issue, while others who boast strong credentials include Ballysax winner Piz Badile, who produced a tough display to fend off Buckaroo close home, and Changingoftheguard, who stays extremely well having made all to take the Chester Vase.
Templegate's Tip
Nations Pride (NAP)

Impressive last time and can improve enough to figure.
