PreviewsCROSS COUNTER has not won since taking the Dubai Gold Cup in March 2019 but the son of Teofilo has contested some of the best staying races across the globe since then. The five-year-old was well held when third to Stradivarius in the Gold Cup last month but he should find this trip to be more suitable. On all known form Charlie Appleby's gelding should take plenty of beating this afternoon. Spanish Mission disappointed on his sole start at Meydan earlier in the year but he is better judged on his 2019 form, including his defeat of Nayef Road in the Bahrain Trophy. Dashing Willoughby is unexposed over 2m but needs to take another step forward, while Withhold and Summer Moon should not be written off but look to be up against it.
