PreviewsGHAIYYATH produced a breathtaking performance to win the Group 3 Dubai Millennium Stakes at Meydan by over eight lengths in February and, with a record of two from two on this track, he gets the vote to land a cracking renewal of the Coronation Cup. Forecast quick ground isn't expected to be a problem, and he won over 1m4f at Baden-Baden in September. Last year's winner (at Epsom) Defoe also brings solid course form to the table and he posted a solid comeback performance at Meydan in March. Roger Varian's charge could well be sharper after that run and must enter calculations, as must the legendary Stradivarius, who went down by the narrowest of margins when chasing an 11th consecutive victory in the Long Distance Cup at Ascot in October. This trip will be short enough for him, though.
